The company «Ekoten» has received a patent for the invention «Photoplanthographer and method for obtaining an image of the feet of the examined patient». The photoplanthographer is designed to obtain images of the patient's feet under body load. The examined person stands on a light-permeable support surface, under which lighting and optical cameras are located. The image is formed from several shots taken from different positions using two or more stationary cameras or one movable camera. A special device connects the obtained shots, forming a single geometrically comparable image of both feet. The low and compact design makes the examination more convenient, including for elderly and mobility-impaired patients.
The development for foot examination complements the range of orthopedic products from «Ekoten». The company's product range includes orthopedic insoles for supporting the longitudinal and transverse arches, stabilizing the rear part of the foot, and reducing impact load during walking.
